Farooq Adbullah Heckled, Booed By Kashmiri Pandits In Srinagar Temple

Srinagar: National Conference president and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah was heckled today in Srinagar by group of Kashmiri Pandits. He was prevented from entering the Jyestha Devi temple. When Farooq Abdullah reached the temple, he was greeted with angry sloganeering. People booed him and raised slogans praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP. Some of the Kashmiri Pandits who were present at the temple said leaders like Farooq Abdullah are responsible for their plight in Kashmir and elsewhere. Farooq Abdullah reportedly wanted to enter the wanted to enter the Jyestha Devi. Sources said he was forced to leave the temple without offering prayers. He tried to pacify the people but failed. Thousands of Kashmiri Pandits are visiting the Kashmir Valley for religious pilgrimage.
