Mehbooba Mufti Shifted To Her Residence, Detention To Continue

Srinagar: Government today shifted the former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti who is detained under PSA to her residence. The order issued by Home Department states that she would continue to remain under detention and only her place of detention has been changed. ' The Gift today hereby orders the changed place of lodgement of Ms Mehbooba Mufti D-O Late Mufti Muhammad Sayed R-O Bijbhehra A-P Nowgam Srinagar detained by the district magistrate Srinagar vide order no DMS-PSA- 147-2020 dated 05-02-2020 read with corrigendum dated 06-02-2020 from subsidiary jail DMQ-6 Transport yard M A road Srinagar to subsidiary ja Fairview Gupkar road Srinagar with immediate effect.' Meanwhile, former chief minister Omar Abdullah in his tweet demanded her release. '@MehboobaMufti must be set free. Shifting her home while continuing to keep her detained is a cop out,' Omar tweeted. Expressing anger over Mehbooba's continuous detention, Iltija Mufti who uses twitter account of her mother wrote, 'Ms Mufti is home but still booked under PSA. Media wasn't given access to her at all despite waiting for hours. Is GOI scared that she'll articulate her views on illegal abrogation of Article 370? Time doesn't change facts or erase a betrayal etched in memory'
