Modi Govt Doing Justice To All Regions In J&K: Kavinder

Jammu 04 Feb: Discrimination and step-motherly treatment with regions have become the things of past in J&K as BJP Government led by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has ensured justice to all the regions of the UT. This was stated by senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta during Shakti Kendra Sammelan held at Akhnoor to review party activities at booth level.

Apni Party represents aspiration of unemployed youth in J&K: Ghulam Hassan Mir

JAMMU 04 Feb: ( KNS ) Apni Party Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir today said that they represent the aspirations of the unemployed youth in J&K. Addressing a joining programme in which Muzammil Yezdani from Bhaderwah joined Apni Party at Gandhi Nagar Office, Mir said that the youth have been left without representation from the last many years and it contributed towards the growth of unemployment. The situation is really worrisome as there is no elected Govt to redress the issue which is compromising the future of the youth, he said while welcoming Muzamil into the Party.

Flights not to operate after 5 pm on Fridays and Weekends in Feb, March at Srinagar Airport

Srinagar 04 Feb: The authorities at Srinagar International Airport on Friday said that flights scheduled on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during the month of February and March will not operate after 5 pm due to planned repair activities on the runway on these days. According to a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS) , a spokesperson said that they are commencing the Polymer Modified Emulsion work on the entire runway during the months of February and March. This is necessary to strengthen the runway for the operation of flight and also to control the wear and tear.

Journalist Fahad Shah arrested by Pulwama police

Srinagar 04 Feb: The Jammu and Kashmir police on Friday arrested journalist and Editor-in-Chief of The Kashmir Walla, Fahad Shah in a case registered in Pulwama district. A police spokesperson told Kashmir News Service (KNS) , it was reliably learnt by Pulwama Police that some Facebook users and portals have been uploading anti-national content including photographs, videos and posts with criminal intention to create fear among public and the content so uploaded can provoke the public to disturb law & order. It reads that it was also learnt that these Facebook users are uploading such posts which tantamount to glorifying the (militant) activities and causing dent to the image of law enforcing agencies besides causing ill-will & disaffection against the country.

Restore J&Ks abridged constitutional, democratic rights: Masoodi in LS

Intense assault on J&K land rights 04 Feb: ( KNS ) The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Member of Parliament from Anantnag Justice (Retd.) Hasnain Masoodi sought restoration of abridged constitutional and democratic rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. This he said, while speaking on the discussion on the motion of thanks on the address of the President in Lok Sabha.

Daily Covid graph declines further in J&K, 1,429 new cases, 3 deaths

Srinagar 04 Feb: Fresh Covid cases declined further to 1,429 on Friday, 607 in Jammu division and 822 in Kashmir division, but 3 more Covid patients died; 2 in Kashmir Division and 1 in Jammu Division, the daily official Covid bulletin reported. Also, 4,057 more COVID-19 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, including 1,437 from Jammu Division and 2,620 from Kashmir Division, the bulletin informed. According to the daily bulletin, there are currently 24,080 Active Positive cases in J&K, 6,851 in Jammu Division and 17,229 in Kashmir Division.

Once A Youth Icon In Kashmir, Jailed PDP Leader's Family Is Now Pleading For His Health

Srinagar 04 Feb: The incarcerated PDP leader Waheed-ur-Rehman Para was once projected as a youth icon in Kashmir by the top BJP leaders including the defence minister Rajnath Singh. Para earned the gushing praise of then Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh when he assembled hundreds of young people at a function addressed by Singh in Srinagar in 2018. However, now his family is appealing to Governor Manoj Sinha that he should be given medical attention as he has developed medical complications last week, forcing the jail authorities to take him to the police hospital.

New Delhi 04 Feb: China continues to be in illegal occupation of approximately 38,000 square km of Indian territory in the Union Territory of Ladakh for the last six decades, the government said in Lok Sabha on Friday. Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan said that Pakistan illegally ceded 5,180 sq km of Indian territory in Shaksgam Valley to China in 1963 from areas illegally occupied by it.

Islamabad 04 Feb: The Pakistan Army on Friday said the 2021 ceasefire agreement with India should not be misconstrued as one's strength or other's weakness, as it described as 'clearly misleading' the assertion by the Indian Army chief that the ceasefire continued to hold because India had negotiated from a 'position of strength'.

Two Terrorists Neutralised In Encounter At Srinagar's Zakura

Srinagar 04 Feb: Two terrorists with links to the terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT)-The Resistance Front (TRF) were neutralised by Srinagar Police after an encounter broke out in the Zakura area of Srinagar City on Saturday morning, informed IGP Kashmir. One of the killed terrorists has been identified as Ikhlaq Hajam, who was also involved in the recent killing of head constable Ali Muhammad Ganie at Hassanpora, Anantnag, added the IGP.
