3 militants killed in two separate encounters in Kashmir
Srinagar 10 Mar: Three militants were killed in two separate
encounters in Srinagar and Pulwama districts on Thursday, police said
here. An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that two militants of LeT outfit were killed in an encounter in Naina Batapora village of Pulwama today. He said that the militants were holed up a structure besides a mosque in the village.
Ground situation in J&K contrary to government claims: NC
Srinagar 10 Mar: (KNS) The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference on
Thursday said the claims of GOI on bridging development deficit and
creating employment opportunities in Jammu have rang hollow. Saying
that good governance in J&K is confined to papers only, NC
spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar said the ground situation belies all the
claims of administration. Pointing to the extensive window dressing by the J & K
administration to hide its failures, Imran said people are suffering on
different counts ranging from inflation, development deficit, rising
unemployment, and administrative inertia.
Militants number declining in J&K, targeting civilian areas out of frustration: DGP Dilbag Singh
Srinagar 10 Mar: Director General of Jammu and Kashmir
police, Dilbag Singh on Thursday said that the number of militants is
declining in Jammu and Kashmir, which is why they are targeting civilian
areas out of frustration. Talking to media persons on the sidelines of a programme Choona
Hai Aasman in Jammu, DGP said that police were investigating the low
intensity blast that took place in Udhampur and those involved in the
act will be brought to justice soon. According to KNS, correspondent, He said that militants are
targeting civilian areas which shows their frustration as their number
is declining in Jammu and Kashmir.
PAGD has failed to provide roadmap for restoration of Art 370: Vakil

Vakil today said that the sole objective of the main constituent
parties in PAGD is to gain power and safeguard their interests at the
cost of the interests of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. People of
J&K have realised the hollow promises of NC and PDP to fight for
identity and special status of J&K.Vakil was addressing Party
workers convention in Nowpora Kalan Sopore today. While
addressing the gathering Vakil said "PAGD was ostensibly formed
to fight for the restoration of Article 370 and statehood of J&K.
