Dear Mr.Sadiq,
I wish more Indian Muslims would speak out on the Kashmir issue. I feel this is the only way the religious dimension can be taken out of the equation. It would make it clear to Pakistan (and other Muslim countries) that Kashmir is not a Hindu-Muslim war but a territorial dispute. Further it does not help the national cause when the Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid talks of 'our martyrs being killed in Kashmir' presumably the martyrs he speaks of are not Indian soldiers but the militants. Would be grateful of your comments.

Dear Sir,
I appreciate your sentiments but we always wonder why more Hindus do not speak out on the Kashmir issue. Why do they not want to know more about Kashmir and its problems and why they dont tell the government to stop supporting people like Farooq Abdullah and make secret pacts with others. Also, Kashmir is not a territorial dispute. It is an ideological dispute. Unless Hindus and Muslims understand this, the conflict will persist.
