Naeem Akhtar Released From MLA Hostel, Put Under House Detention10 May 2021

Srinagar: : Authorities on Monday released former minister and senior Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Naeem Akhtar from detention after nearly five months. Naeem was detained on 21 December 2020 and was lodged at the MLA hostel in Srinagar. He was earlier placed under detention on August 05, 2019, and was released nearly after ten months in 2020. However, he was placed under Akhtar house arrest soon after his release today. PDP sources confirmed that Akhtar was handed over to Police Station Saddar and from there he was shifted to his residence in the Humhama area in Srinagar outskirts.
