Top LeT Commander Among Two Militants Killed In Pampore Encounter: Police

2021-10-16: Two militants including a top LeT commander Umar Mushtaq Khandey have been killed in the ongoing encounter in Pampore area of south Kashmir's Pulwama district, police said here on Saturday. An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that two militants have been killed in the encounter, while search operation is going on in the area. Kashmir zone Police in a Tweet said that Khandey was involved in the killing of two police personnel in Baghat area of Srinagar.

Late SAS Geelani's Grandson Terminated From The Government Services

2021-10-16: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Saturday terminated the grandson of Late Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Anees Ul Islam from the government services. Top Official confirmed to Rising Kashmir that he has been sacked from the Government services, however the official did not divulge much details and said an order will be issued for that. 'As of now he is sacked from the government services', the official said.
