Targeted Killings In Kashmir: Inexplicable Silence Of Hurriyat And Civil Society

2021-10-17: The continuing killing of minority community members and non-locals in Kashmir Valley has made it abundantly clear that this barbaric trend has approval of those masterminding the so called 'armed struggle' here. A hitherto fore largely unknown group calling itself 'The Resistance Front' [TRF] has taken responsibility for these attacks, but it hasn't explained as to how exactly is targeting innocent people of minority communities and non-local migrants contributing to the success of their 'armed struggle'? Why TRF is not doing so could be because it either doesn't have any logical explanation to offer, or could it simply be that it doesn't consider this necessary because influential groups like the Hurriyat and Jammu Kashmir Coalition of Civil Society [JKCCS] are the least interested?

Non-locals Being Shifted To Safer Locations In Kashmir Following Series Of Targeted Attacks By Terrorists

2021-10-17: In the wake of a series of targeted killings of non locals by militants, J&K Police on Sunday night started moving such people to secure locations in various parts of Kashmir. According to officials, the non-locals are being shifted to the nearest establishments of police, central security forces and Army camps with immediate effect. The shifting has already started in many districts, the officials said.

BJP Condemns Killing Of Innocent Bihari By Pak Sponsored Militants In Kashmir

2021-10-17: Expressing deep sorrow over the killing of innocent Bihari in Kashmir, the BJP said that the incident of killing innocent people by Pakistan sponsored and Taliban sympathiser militants was condemnable.BJP Spokesperson Dr. Nikhil Anand said here today that the incident was shocking. He said that earlier Birendra Paswan and this time Arvind Shah has been killed. Both the Bihar residents were working their for long to earn their livelihood.He said that the security forces will take revenge of the killing as they did in past.The BJP spokesperson requested Bihar state government to pay some more ex- gratia amount so that the family of these worker who were dependent on them can stand by on their own.

Kulgam: 2 Labourers From Bihar Shot Dead By Terrorists

2021-10-17: At least two labourers were killed and another injured by terrorists in Kulgam district of South Kashmir, prompting the police to direct that all migrants in the Valley be brought to nearest security camps 'immediately' for safety, officials said on Sunday. This is the third attack on migrants in less than 24 hours and is the latest in a series of shootings targeting civilians in recent weeks. A street vendor from Bihar and a carpenter from Uttar Pradesh were shot dead by the ultras on Saturday evening.

Poonch Encounter: 9 Soldiers Killed As Search Ops Enter Day 7

2021-10-17: Three persons, including a mother-son duo, were detained for questioning during an ongoing search operation in the forest belt of Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch and Rajouri border districts where nine soldiers were killed in two separate gunfights over the past week, officials said on Sunday. Five Army personnel, including a junior commissioned officer (JCO), died in a fierce gunfight during a counter-insurgency operation in Surankote forest on Monday. Four soldiers, including another JCO, died in another encounter in the Mendhar sector on Thursday evening.
