Pakistan, China Indulging In Proxy War To Destabilise Jammu-Kashmir: General Bipin Rawat

2021-10-23: Amid a spate of civilian killings in Jammu and Kashmir, Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat on Saturday said that China and Pakistan are indulging in a proxy war against India to disrupt peace in the Valley. 'Security forces remain alert and carry out effective measures to ensure that these kinds of activities are not allowed to happen anymore and we are able to develop and build confidence among the people. Whenever the situation is fine and there is peace, they will create a situation like fear mongering among the people,' General Bipin Rawat during a press conference held in Guwahati, Assam.

'Kashmiri Pandits & Sikhs Continuously Targeted From Across The Border'

2021-10-23: Kashmir is not only a majority Muslim province of India, it is also home to a distinct community called the Kashmiri Pandits & Sikhs who have been exiled from their land by forces from across the border, said Global Kashmiri Pandit diaspora in a statement on Saturday. It said that Kashmir is home to a community which has seen the horrors of genocide, brutal assaults, and targeted killings since Oct 22, 1947.
