3 Security Personnel, Pak Terrorist Injured In Kashmir Firing

2021-10-24: Three security personnel and an arrested Pakistani terrorist were injured on Sunday when militants opened fire on a joint search party of the Army and police inside a forest in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said. Heavy firing and explosions were reported from Bhatta Durrian forest of Mendhar which along with nearby forest areas adjoining Surankote (Poonch) and Thanamandi in Rajouri district is witnessing a massive search operation, the officials said.

Those Trying To Disrupt J&K Peace Wont Be Spared: Shah

2021-10-24: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday vowed to the people in Jammu, as well as the union territory and the nation, stating that an atmosphere will be created where no blood of innocent will be spilled. Shah in his first public address here after the revocation of Article 370 also said that those trying to disrupt peace in Jammu and Kashmir will not be spared.

Civilian Killed In Cross-firing Between CRPF, Militants In Shopian

2021-10-24: A civilian was killed during a cross-firing between Central Reserve Police Force personnel and suspected militants in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district on Sunday. The police said that the militants had attacked CRPF troops in the district's Babapora area. 'CRPF troops retaliated the fire and during cross firing one unidentified person was killed,' the police said in a statement. 'Further details are being ascertained.'

'Dadagiri' Of Three Families Will No Longer Work In J&K: Amit Shah

2021-10-24: The Union Home Minister, Amit Shah on Sunday while attacking the opposition parties of Jammu and Kashmir including NC, PDP and Congress said that 'Dadagiri' of three families will no longer work in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that what did these three families give to Jammu and Kashmir for 70 years- 87 MLAs and 6 MPs. 'Modi Ji has done the work of making 30,000 people elected representatives, a Panchayat has been formed in every village. Now 'Dadagiri' of these three families will not work,' Shah said.

Delegation Of Kashmiri Pandits Calls On Amit Shah

2021-10-24: A BJP-led delegation of three displaced Kashmiri Pandit organisations called on Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday and demanded the construction of two-bedroom quarters for the migrant employees from the community recruited under the Prime Minister's special recruitment programme in the Kashmir valley, besides security and an insurance coverage for them. They also demanded the constitution of an apex committee and a welfare board for the displaced people. The seven-member delegation, led by Jammu and Kashmir BJP spokesperson and former MLA G L Raina, met Shah at the Raj Bhawan here, officials said.

Top Army Commanders To Review India's Security Challenges, Situation Along LAC

2021-10-24: Top commanders of the Indian Army will carry out an extensive review of the country's security challenges, including in eastern Ladakh as well as other sensitive areas along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China, at a four-day conference beginning Monday, people familiar with the development said. The commanders will also deliberate on the security scenario in Jammu and Kashmir in the backdrop of a spate of civilian killings in the Union Territory in the last few weeks, they added. The conference will take place in Delhi.

Mehbooba Slams CDS Rawat's Remarks On Curbs In Kashmir

2021-10-24: PDP president Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday charged that 'repression' was the Centre's only method to deal with the situation in Jammu and Kashmir. Reacting to the remarks by Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat warning of further curbs in Kashmir to tackle the recent violence, Mehbooba also said his statement 'contradicts' the official narrative that all is well in the valley. 2021-10-24: Chief of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority has accused the United States of sabotaging the multi-billion dollar project, the economic lifeline of Pakistan, a media report said. The ambitious CPEC was launched in 2015 when Chinese President Xi Jinping visited Pakistan. It aims to connect western China with the Gwadar seaport in southwestern Pakistan through a network of roads, railways and other projects of infrastructure and development.
