2021-10-29: The Jawaharlal Nehru University on Friday, October 29, ordered a webinar on Kashmir to be cancelled. The university administration said that the event titled 'Gendered Resistance and Fresh Challenges in Post-2019 Kashmir' had been planned without permission. The notice for the webinar, which was to be held at 8:30pm on Friday, read, 'This talk will draw and build upon the ethnography of gendered resistance to Indian occupation in Kashmir.'

Agra Lawyers Refuse Legal Help To Kashmiri Students Booked For Sedition

2021-10-29: Several lawyers' associations of Agra have decided to deny legal help to the three Kashmiri students of an engineering college here, who were charged with sedition. The students were booked under the Act that dates back to the British era allegedly for posting a WhatsApp status praising Pakistan players after the team's victory against India in a T20 cricket match on October 24.

Behaviour Of Lawyers Towards Kashmiri Students In Agra Unacceptable: Omar Abdullah

2021-10-29: National Conference (NC) leader Omar Abdullah on Friday said the behaviour of lawyers in Agra towards three Kashmiri students, arrested for allegedly celebrating Pakistan's win over India at the T20 World Cup, was unacceptable and the role of police suspect. The Kashmiri students, who have been booked for sedition, were remanded in judicial custody for 14 days by a court in Agra on Thursday.

Delhi Court Grants Bail To Shabir Shah's Wife

2021-10-29: A Delhi court on Friday granted bail to Kashmiri separatist leader Shabir Shah's wife Bilquis Shah in a 2005 money laundering case lodged against them for alleged terror financing to cause unrest in Jammu and Kashmir. Special Judge Dharmender Rana granted the relief to Bilquis Shah on a bail bond of Rs 50,000 with two sureties each in the like amount, saying that placing her under custody would not serve any purpose.

Told Pakistan Action Against Terrorism Will Be Taken On Their Side Of Border If Needed: Rajnath

2021-10-29: India has clearly told Pakistan that action against terrorism will be taken not only on this side of the border but also on their side if needed, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said on Friday. 'People used to say that if Article 370 is abolished, then the entire Kashmir will burn...All in all, Jammu and Kashmir is peaceful except for a few incidents,' he said at an event here.
