Step Up Ops Against Militants, Orders DGP

2021-11-03: Director General of Police Dilbag Singh on Tuesday directed for stepping up operations against militants and surveillance of over ground workers, an official spokesperson said. Addressing the joint officers meeting at Anantnag to review security situation of south Kashmir, he stressed for alertness and said that 'no space should be given to any anti-peace element to create any disturbance and emphasized on stepping up operations to check the movement of criminals and militants and other suspicious elements'.

JK Records 72% Growth In GST Collection

2021-11-03: Jammu and Kashmir recorded a 72 per cent growth in GST collection during October 2021 compared to the same month last year. The Union Territory has collected Rs 648 crore in the last month as against Rs 377 crore collected in October 2020.

ACB Arrests A Patwari Accepting Bribe

2021-11-03: Jammu and Kashmir Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday caught a Patwari red handed while accepting bribe from a person at Ganderbal.ACB official said Showkat Ahmad Lone, Patwari Halqa Hari Ganwan Gund Ganderbal had demanded a bribe of Rs 2,000 from a person for providing Warasati Intiqal of land in his favour.

Army Chief Again Visits Jammu Amid Ongoing Operations In Pirpanjal Region

2021-11-03: Army Chief General M M Naravane is on a two-day visit to Jammu from Wednesday where he will review security situation and operational preparedness, officials said. This is his second visit to Jammu in the past over two weeks amid an ongoing operation against militants in a forest belt in twin districts of Poonch and Rajouri, which is the longest in the recent past that has entered 24th day on Wednesday.

PDP Offers Legal Help To UAPA-charged Kashmiri Students In UP

2021-11-03: People's Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday said it will provide legal assistance to all persons booked under the UAPA in connection with the India-Pakistan cricket match in the ongoing T20 World Cup. 'PDP has resolved to provide legal assistance to all those booked under UAPA w.r.t. Indo-Pak cricket match and not able to have access to justice,' PDP spokesperson Anil Sethi tweeted. 'All those who are in need of any legal help may contact,' he said in the tweet.
