With Local Support, Non-local Labourers Decide Against Leaving Valley2021-11-04: Unfazed by the recent spate of killing of non-locals, hundreds of labourers and workers have decided to stay back in Kashmir, to keep working, as local people have been steadfastly supporting them. In a series of targeted killings last month, at least 11 civilians including migrant workers were killed by militants. The attacks took place in the Srinagar and some parts of south Kashmir, leaving migrant workers worried and prompting many to leave the Valley.

Soldiers From India, Pak Exchange Sweets On LoC2021-11-04: Indian and Pakistani armies Thursday held customary exchange of sweets in Teetwal and Uri sectors along the Line of Control (LoC) on the occasion of Diwali. An army official said that the two armies exchanged sweets at Kaman Aman Setu, Uri in Baramulla and Teetwal Crossing on Kishanganga River in Tangdhar in Kupwara.

Addressing soldiers on the occasion of Diwali at Nowshera Rajouri district, Modi lauded the role played by the brigade here in the 2016 surgical strikes on militant launchpads across the LoC, and asserted that even though innumerable attempts were made after the strikes to disturb peace in the region, every time militancy was given a befitting reply.
