Srinagar Imposes Curfew For 10 Days In Five Areas

2021-11-08: In view of rising covid cases in the city, the Srinagar district administration on Monday has imposed a strict corona induced curfew in five areas of the city for a total of 10 days, as reported by news agency ANI. The places where strict corona curfew will be implemented are Lal Bazar, Hyderpora, Chanapora, Bemina (Hamdania Colony), Bemina (Housing Colony, Bilal Colony, SDA Colony). The curfew will be in effect from Nov 9, 2021, as of 12:00 AM.

Considering Silence In Kashmir As Sign Of Peace Is Flawed: Mehbooba

2021-11-08: Former Chief Minister and president of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mehbooba Mufti said on Monday that considering the silence in Kashmir as a sign of peace is flawed. Talking to reporters in Srinagar, Mehbooba Mufti said, 'The people in Jammu and Kashmir have been muzzled and considering forceful silence here as peace is not good.'

In Kashmir, Scores Of PM CARES Ventilators Fail Trial Run

2021-11-08: More than 100 ventilators supplied under PM CARES fund in Jammu and Kashmir have been found defective and 'unfit for critical care' on trial runs. The ventilators supplied to the Government Medical College, Srinagar, were manufactured by three different companies. According to doctors, a trial run is not done on every machine. For every company, tests are conducted on a few machines to check the quality. The government said an inquiry will be ordered to fix the responsibility.

Muslim Salesman Of Pandit Trader Shot Dead In Srinagar

2021-11-08: In the second killing in less than 24 hours, suspected militants on Monday shot dead a salesman in the Old City here. 45-year-old salesman Ghulam Mohammad Khan was fired upon by suspected militants in the Bohri Kadal area of the Old City here on Monday evening, officials said. A resident of Ashtangoo in Bandipora district, Khan received multiple gunshot wounds in his left side of chest and abdomen.

LG Hands Over Appointment Letter To Wife Of Teacher Killed By Terrorists In Kashmir

2021-11-08: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday handed over the appointment letter for the government job to Aradhna Mehra, wife of Kashmiri Hindu teacher Deepak Chand who was killed by terrorists in Srinagar on October 8, officials said. Mehra received the appointment letter at the Raj Bhavan here.

2021-11-08: Security forces on Monday arrested an armed Lashker-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist during a search operation in south Kashmir's Anantnag and Pulwama district. Official sources said security forces during the joint search operation at Wahadan area arrested Hafiz Abdullah Malik a resident of Ganjipora and recovered a pistol and seven rounds of ammunition from his possession.

MBBS In Pakistan: Police Seeks Sanction To Prosecute 8 Persons
