OIC Falling For Islamabad's False Narrative On Kashmir, Says PoK Activist

Glasgow 13 Nov: A Kashmiri political activist has lambasted the visit of a delegation of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) this week.Dr. Amjad Ayub Mirza alleged that OIC was stoking up the Kashmir issue at the behest of Islamabad to advance the Pakistani narrative.

Biggest Threat To Jammu Is From Opportunist Leaders: Harsh Dev

Chenani 13 Nov: arsh Dev Singh, Chairman-JKNPP and former Minister, today said that biggest threat to Jammu was from opportunist leaders abandoning their respective parties and falling in the lap of ruling or Government sponsored parties. 'It is sad that the opposition leaders of Jammu region are abandoning their respective parties one by one and falling in the lap of either New Delhi based parties or Kashmir centric parties. These were the very leaders who would swear by the cause of Jammu accusing the BJP of having betrayed the sentiment of the Dogras for vested interests and fulfilment of their political ambitions,' he said.

Azamgarh 13 Nov: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said that it was due to the grit and determination of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that Article 370 was abolished making Jammu & Kashmir an integral part of the country in the true sense. The Home Minister, who was on a two-day visit to Purvanchal in Uttar Pradesh, put forth his thoughts during two back-to-back public rallies in Azamgarh and Basti.

Air Traffic, Passenger Growth Doubled At Srinagar International Airport This Year

Srinagar 13 Nov: Considerably affordable air fares coupled with a drop in number of Covid cases has doubled the passenger footfalls and air traffic at the Srinagar International Airport this year, officials said. As per the official data, the Srinagar Airport handled 16.25 lakh passengers between April and October this year, which is a record high for this period witnessed at the aerodrome. During the same period last year, the Airport had witnessed less than 7 lakh passenger footfalls.

Scores of youths from Srinagar join JKPC

Ladakhi Leaders Up The Ante For Statehood, Announce Agitation

Kargil 13 Nov: Accusing the BJP-led central government of being non-serious towards the issues and concerns of the people of Ladakh, prominent leaders from the union territory on Saturday announced a mass agitation to press for their four main demands including full statehood and constitutional safeguards for the region. The Leh-based Apex body of People's Movement for 6th Schedule and the Kargil Democratic Alliance (KDA) jointly called for a general strike on December 6 followed by public rallies and mass contact programmes in both Leh and Kargil districts in March coinciding with improved weather conditions .

9000 Get Jobs On Fast Track

Jammu 13 Nov: Over 9,000 vacancies in different departments have been filled up under fast track recruitment in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Saturday. The selection for 5,000 more posts would be finalised by the end of this year, they said.

New Delhi 13 Nov: The people in Kashmir are now saying they will 'lynch terrorists' and this is a 'positive sign', Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Bipin Rawat said at the Times Now summit. 'Nobody [terrorists] are being allowed to go scot free The same locals are now giving information about the terrorists. In fact, now what we are told is, the locals are saying we will lynch the terrorists, which is a very positive sign that is coming in,' Gen. Rawat said on the ground situation.

Hurriyat Terms Additional CRPF Deployment In Kashmir 'worrisome'

Srinagar 13 Nov: Hurriyat Conference on Saturday termed the deployment of additional forces in Kashmir worrisome and disturbing. The Hurriyat statement came in the backdrop of reports that five additional companies of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) are being deployed in Srinagar in the wake of fresh targeted attacks in the city. Since October 1, 13 civilians, including five non-locals, have been killed by unidentified gunmen.
